Going Live…

It has taken quite a while, but I have finally created a website for photography.

Why am I doing this? I’ve wasted far too much time not enjoying my hobby, and needing a little kick to get going, I’ve created this website. That simple.

Mostly, I’ve taken photos while on holidays. In recent years (excluding 2020, thank-you COVID-19), part of that has involved going someplace I’ve never been before, in no small part to take photographs of the Australian landscape and wildlife.

I have recently taken an overnight trip to Armidale, NSW. The images in Autumn Colours are from that trip.

I’ve shot one corporate event (for my employer), two weddings (for family) and portraits for my family.

To the question of money.

Do I want to make money out of photography? Of course I do. It is an expensive pastime. I would love the rich and famous to pay extortionate prices for prints of my photographs so I can retire. Do I expect that? No. Realistically if my hobby could become self-sufficient, paying for the annual holiday, and maybe some equipment upgrades every now and then, that would be great. That typed, if you feel compelled to part with large sums of cash for a print, I may say yes.

As of posting this, I have an instagram account, with nothing in it. I’ve tweeted less than 5 times, and have fewer than 30 “friends” on Facebook. I really good at this social media thing. Not.

I am not sure where this website will go, or how much time I’ll end up devoting to it. We’ll see how things progress.
